| Support of youth health education and its organization |
| The Ministry of Education of Cambodia, JICA, Tsukuba University |
| The head office of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) executes
the project "Improvement of Curriculum and Teacher's Manuals on Physical
Education for Primary Schools in Cambodia (the Project)" with cooperation
with Hearts of Gold (HG) through JICA Cambodia office. By the initiatives
of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Kingdom of Cambodia (MoEYS),
activities are practiced. The relevant department of MoEYS cooperates for
the success of the Project with the support of HG. The MoEYS would be responsible
for establishing the Central Committee and Steering Committee as organizations
to run the Project, and maintaining Working Group. |
| HG supports the Central Committee with the purpose of establishing the
continuous organization and improving the national curriculum and teacher's
manuals on P.E. and health. HG staffs, with a project manager playing central
roles support the Steering Committee and working group all in all. |

Making out the final draft plan of the Curriculum and submission for Education
Material Board (EMAB)
2nd term (Apr. 2007- Mar. 2008)
Enhancement of internal cooperation relation with the Central Committee,
abilities of Working Group members, drawing the final draft plan of TMs.
3rd term (Apr.- Jul. 2008)
Introduction of the draft TMs to core schools (mainly 2 model schools)
and investigation on the efficiency of introduced-TMs in model schools.
Submission of the recommendation and draft TMs to the Ministry of Education
to empower them as the formalized material. |
