Activity outline
The aim of the project is build a new child care center at Chei Village, Pork in Northern Cambodia to foster children such as orphans who are victims of human rights violation with social prejudice and children who have no home to live due to rural poverty. In the center to provide these children vocational training is also its aim. We believe this eventually protects their human rights and makes them self-reliant as a responsible member in a society.
Planned constructions
The new child care center building project has been underway for four years from August 2006 to 2010. In the new center, children will be able to get a public education as well as educations of health and foreign languages such as English and Japanese. Facilities for job trainings will be set up to support children for their job acquisition and self-reliance in the future. They can have the trainings of construction technology, agricultural production, handicraft production and their selling. They will also have a cultural education such as traditional dance. A multipurpose stage will also be set up for the performance and for cultural exchange with the visitors to the center. The project is proceeding by a construction professional dispatched from Japan together with local staffs in a workshop style.
