Outline of the marathon
- Appeals for "a ban on inhumane anti-personnel land mines"
- Entry fee of the marathon is spent for supporting land mine survivors giving
prosthetic limbs, training for rehabilitation and self-reliance and for
preventive education of HIV/AIDS to juvenile.
- A part of authorized and cooperative tour fee (JPY 3,000/ person) is used
for promoting sport in Cambodia.
- Aims to give courage and hope not only to able-bodied person but also to
the disabled through running together.
- Calls for further support to Cambodia from all over the world to make Cambodia
vigorous thanking for aid given so far through the marathon event.
