People who got involved in the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon held
in Dec. 1996 established the Hearts of Gold on October 10, 1998 after two
years of preparation, wishing "to share hope and courage through sports."
Yuko Arimori, the representative director of HG designed the symbol mark
and Lorraine Moller, sub leader named this organization Hearts of Gold®.
Strong and beautiful heart of people who want to make social contributions
is likened to "Gold medal of heart."

Hearts of Gold® is registered as a trade mark.
In addition to the Angkor Wat Int'l Half Marathon, various projects in Cambodia were established, for example, Improvement of curriculum and teachers' manuals on physical education for primary schools developed from youth and leader training through sports. With a lot of volunteers' cooperation, relief supplies are increased. In Japan, sponsoring and cooperation of sports event, and international volunteer activities are developed in various areas.
